D, BDay 3
Today we visit the sub-tropical paradise of Trebah Garden. Discover the magic of this beautiful 26-acre Cornish valley garden, with over four miles of footpaths. Explore under canopies bursting with exotic blooms and follow vibrant tunnels of colour that cascade down to the secluded beach on the Helford River.

Today we visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, which just 30 years ago were unknown and unseen; lost under a tangle of weeds. A chance discovery of a door in the ruins led to the restoration of what is now considered to be one of the finest gardens in Cornwall. We return to the hotel via Mevagissey, an attractive old town which was once the centre of Cornwall's pilchard fishery and which still boasts a working harbour.

Today we drive to the charming seaside resort of St Ives. Best known for its artistic connections, the Tate Gallery looks after the Barbara Hepworth Museum and sculpture garden (admission at own cost).
D, BDay 7
After breakfast we will start the journey home, with breaks on route for coffee and lunch, arriving back in the local area early evening.
