Day 1
We depart the local area and make a stop for lunch before arriving at the 4* Queen at Chester Hotel mid-afternoon, with time to settle in before dinner.
DDay 2
After a leisurely breakfast we make our way to Llandudno, unlike most seaside resorts, it has remained largely unchanged for over a century. Stroll along the elegant promenade, with its pastel-coloured hotels and Victorian architecture, or walk along the longest pier in Wales. Why not enjoy a ride to the top of the Great Orme on the beautifully restored tram which climbs to 1500m. The views from the summit are breath-taking - from Snowdonia and Anglesey, all the way to the Isle of Man, Blackpool and the Lake District.
D, BDay 3
Spend the day in Chester and explore all the wonderful history this city has to offer. To start the day, we enjoy a relaxing cruise along the River Dee. With the rest of the day at leisure you could visit Chester's remarkable Cathedral with Europe's finest example of medieval carvings, the unique 700-year-old Rows galleries of shops, the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, or the most complete City Walls in Britain. We return to the hotel in the afternoon for a Cream Tea.
D, BDay 4
Today we head to the Wirral peninsular. The first stop is the historic and idyllic garden village of Port Sunlight, which was built in the late 19th century by Lord Lever as a home for his soap factory workers. Today there are over 900 grade II listed buildings, which we will discover on a guided tour. The next stop is the wonderful Ness Botanic Gardens, originally created in 1898 by Arthur Kilpin Bulley, this stunning garden showcases his passion, with more than 15,000 plants from all over the world.
D, BDay 5
We depart after a leisurely breakfast and make our way south with a stop at the National Memorial Arboretum, before arriving back late-afternoon.
