Devon & Cornwall

Day 1

We depart the local area, and with a lunch stop on route, we arrive at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel ready to settle in before dinner.

Day 2

This morning, we make our way along the south Cornwall coast to Looe, a picturesque fishing harbour rich in maritime history & home to TV's Beyond Paradise. This afternoon we head back to Plymouth for time at leisure, why not visit the Mayflower Museum, Plymouth Gin Distillery, Hoe Park, or the National Marine Aquarium, all within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 3

Today we combine a scenic harbour cruise with a stop off at historic Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. Set sail across Plymouth Sound, taking in stunning coastline views and learn about its history as we journey to the Royal Naval Dockyard, where mighty warships and submarines await. Stop off at Cremyll Quay in Cornwall, to visit the beautiful village of Cremyll and stroll around Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, the former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe.

Day 4

Today we visit The Eden Project. Enjoy the extensive Outdoor Gardens, explore one of the world's largest indoor rainforests and immerse yourself in the calm fragrance of the Mediterranean Biome. Eden never fails to provide anything less than a jaw-dropping horticultural extravaganza.

Day 5

Today we visit Saltram (NT). High above the River Plym, with magnificent views across the estuary, Saltram's rolling landscape parkland is situated on Plymouth's outskirts. Saltram was home to the Parker family from 1743 and the house reflects their increasingly prominent lifestyle during the Georgian period. Outside, the garden's planting offers something of interest all year, and there is also an 18th-century orangery and follies to explore.

Day 6

We depart after a leisurely breakfast and return home with a lunch stop on route, arriving back late afternoon.
