D, BDay 3
After a leisurely breakfast we journey through the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. We embark on a nostalgic journey aboard a Brecon Mountain Railway vintage steam locomotive, offering breathtaking views of the Bannau Brycheiniog. Travel along the historic route of the original Brecon & Merthyr Railway, which first opened in the 19th century and closed in 1964. The line runs from Pant to Torpantau, taking you through some of the most stunning scenery Wales has to offer. This afternoon we visit picturesque market town of Abergavenny.
D, BDay 4
Today we journey through more than 1,100 years of history with The Royal Mint Experience. Explore the fascinating coin-making process - from preparing blank metal discs to striking the coins. This afternoon we visit Tintern Abbey, a national icon - still standing in roofless splendour on the banks of the River Wye nearly 500 years since its tragic fall from grace.
D, BDay 5
After breakfast we return home with a lunch stop on route, arriving back late afternoon.
