Day 1
We depart the local area and make our way north to Biddulph Grange Garden (NT). This amazing Victorian garden was created by James Bateman for his collection of plants from around the world. A visit takes you on a global journey from Italy to the pyramids of Egypt, a Victorian vision of China and a re-creation of a Himalayan glen. After the tour we make the short journey to the 4* Crewe Hall Hotel, with time to settle in before dinner.
DDay 2
Today we enjoy a colourful visit to RHS Bridgewater. This beautiful garden opened in 2020 and was designed by the world famous landscape designer Tom Stuart-Smith. Amongst the highlights we can enjoy an oasis of calm in the Paradise Garden, the Chinese inspired four season themed Streamside Garden and the fabulous Orchard Garden.
Day 3
This morning we visit Tatton Park Gardens, the 50 acres of landscaped gardens at Tatton Park are the product of almost 300 years of cultivation. As one of the most picturesque gardens in England, it shows visitors today an almost complete picture of how it would have looked in Edwardian times. All the different areas of the Garden provide their own atmosphere, plant and tree varieties, stunning seasonal views and wildlife delights. Popular features include the Walled Kitchen Garden, 100-year-old Japanese Garden, historic Glass Houses, and Pleasure Grounds. This afternoon we visit Arley Hall Gardens, home to one of the finest double herbaceous borders in England - a breathtaking ribbon of colour that has been a gardening landmark since 1846. Stroll through twelve acres of beautifully designed rooms, from the walled kitchen garden and fragrant rose garden to the iconic avenue of pleached holm oaks, all set against the backdrop of a stunning Victorian country hall.
D, BDay 4
We depart after a leisurely breakfast and make our way south with a stop at the National Memorial Arboretum, before arriving back late-afternoon.
