Day 1
Departing the local area we make our way north with a lunch stop on route. We arrive at The 3* Cumbria Grand Hotel by late afternoon, with time to settle in before dinner.
DDay 2
This morning, we drive through the centre of the Lake District National Park, passing Windermere, Grasmere, and Thirlmere, arriving in picturesque Keswick. This afternoon we continue on to England's most picturesque lake, Ullswater, for a cruise on a 'Steamer'. We return to the hotel via the beautiful Kirkstone Pass.
D, BDay 3
This morning, we enjoy a one-way steam train journey through the beautiful Leven Valley on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Railway, before boarding a delightful cruise along Windermere from Lakeside to Bowness. Enjoy time at leisure in Bowness before returning to the hotel.
D, BDay 4
Full Steam ahead to Western Lake District for a nostalgic trip back in time on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, affectionately known by the locals as 'La'al Ratty'. Enjoy a return trip on Lakelands oldest and longest railway from the delightful coastal village of Ravenglass through two glorious valleys to the foot of England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike.

After breakfast we commence our journey home with suitable stops on route, arriving back late afternoon.
